Matador Spotlight: Brandon Alexander
At Matador, our people are the driving force behind every innovation, partnership, and success story. Today, we’re spotlighting Brandon Alexander, Team Leader of Customer Success Team 2, whose leadership and passion for dealer success help our partners get the most out of every conversation.
Q: Tell us about your role at Matador.
As Team Leader for Customer Success Team 2, I work closely with our dealership partners to help them maximize engagement and ROI through Matador’s AI-driven communications.
Every day, I’m working alongside my team and our dealers to fine-tune how they use AI to connect with customers. That means helping dealerships craft better messages, understand what drives responses, and turn those replies into real conversations that convert into appointments, sales, or positive reviews.
Q: What excites you most about working in automotive AI technology?
Automotive AI is completely rewriting how dealerships connect with customers. What excites me most is seeing the data prove it when AI-powered conversations directly lead to appointments, reviews, and measurable results.
The industry is evolving fast, and being able to help our dealers adapt in real time keeps things exciting. Watching a dealership go from struggling to engage their leads to thriving because of the conversations our AI is handling is the best part of the job.
Q: Can you share a memorable moment or proud achievement you’ve experienced since joining Matador?
The most rewarding part for me is watching dealerships change how they connect with customers. When they shift from just sending messages to actually starting meaningful conversations, that’s when the magic happens. And I get to help make that change, one dealer at a time.
Q: How would you describe Matador’s culture?
Matador’s culture thrives on ownership and collaboration. We’re encouraged to bring new ideas forward, test them quickly, and learn from what works. That level of trust and freedom makes it easy to innovate and grow.
Everyone here genuinely wants to help each other succeed. It’s a team-first culture that pushes us to think creatively and deliver more value to our clients every day.
Q: What’s your favorite Matador feature, and why?
Two of my favorites are Superhuman AI and Broadcasting.
Superhuman AI changes the game by managing conversations automatically while still keeping that human touch. It frees up dealership staff to focus on what matters most, closing deals and providing great customer experiences.
Broadcasting is equally powerful because it helps dealerships reach hundreds of customers instantly. It’s fast, personal, and incredibly effective for driving engagement.
Q: Outside of work, what are you passionate about?
Outside of work, I’m the Head Coach for the Durham Attack Echo 14U Girls Volleyball Team, where my daughter plays. It’s amazing watching these young athletes compete, grow, and build confidence. Coaching them is one of the most rewarding things I do. I’m also an avid golfer and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner.
Q: Fun fact about you?
I once worked as a bodyguard for Donnie Wahlberg and New Kids on the Block during a concert in Toronto.
I’ve also been around motorsports my whole life. I grew up immersed in automotive racing and have been involved in the sport for over 30 years.
Brandon’s leadership, energy, and deep understanding of both dealerships and AI make him a cornerstone of Matador’s Customer Success team. His ability to help dealers communicate smarter and perform better reflects Matador’s mission to help dealerships win through meaningful, intelligent conversations.
